Disneyland!!!!

So Katrina and Scott along with Cindy and Julia were planning a trip to Disneyland for 2 days. Ben had been working in Cali for the new store they are opening up and decided we should join!! It was so fun. I am glad they were OK with us joining along. Darrel also ended up coming. Ben, Julia, I, and the kids flew, the others drove. We got there on a Sunday and stayed in rooms that were right next to each other and went to cheesecake factory for dinner (thanks to Scott for watching the kids). The next day we were up bright and early for Disneyland!!! It started out sprinkling or misting in the morning with moments that it would stop. But we went on peter pan first and Sam did ok, the pirates scared him a bit. Snow white terrified Sam and Savannah. I never realized how scary a lot of the rides at Disneyland are. The kids loved Dumbo and the merry go round. Julia was our runner and would go get fast passes to the long rides. It turned out to make the days go by so smooth. We ended up stuffing Sam's shoes so he was tall enough for some of the rides like splash mountain which he ended up loving even though he got really wet. Pirates was scary so was the haunted mansion but buzz was his favorite ride. The haunted mansion was decorated for "The nightmare before Christmas". It was so cute I loved it!! We were able to go on all the rides we wanted to that day which was great. Day 2 it started off sunny just to give us false hope. It poured most of the day and at one point it was torrential downpour. We did happen to be in California adventures so there were some rides we could go on. They have this playhouse Disney place where you go in and watch a show that the kids can get involved in. My kids loved it. There is also this little bugs life area with little kids ride that were perfect for Sam. We ended up at Disneyland sooner that we thought because of the rain but it was still great. Kat, Scott, Ben and I left at 6 with the kids to get them out of the rain and enjoyed a night in at the hotel. I had Julia for the airplane ride home thank goodness. At one point the kids were sitting next to Julia and I could not keep my eyes open. You know that point were it is futile to try to resist? yeah Julia saved me. The kids did really good on the trip and Sam still talks about going to California.
